Lapwing House and Barns were renovated to a high standard a few years ago and are continually maintained to provide a luxury self catering holiday destination. Although all the properties have their own individual character we have kept the overall design the same throughout.
Big comfy sofas, solid oak flooring, handmade curtains and simple but luxurious linens are some of the themes that are common throughout the properties. Our ethos was that with everyone leading very busy 'cluttered' lives we would keep the properties very simple, giving a relaxing feel to the rooms.
With the outstanding surrounding countryside being an added feature of Lapwing, there are large gardens to the front, side and rear providing each property with its own patio space and or garden area to sit out and enjoy the stunning uninterrupted views. There are outside tables/seating and BBQ for guests use.
Lapwing House and Barns is privately owned by a group of friends who have years holidaying together in different barns/cottages around the UK. We have tried to create a place that we feel meets the requirements of both walkers, outdoor enthusiasts and people just wanting a few days to wind down and enjoy a luxury break in The Peak District. We hope we have achieved this.
