Hi Paul
Thanks so much for a lovely stay at your cottages. You personally were so helpful - in the initial booking, guiding my sister to Lapwing (!) and helping out with the heating on the Saturday. Also Rachel and Justin were lovely too. I am amazed you spent about 15 minutes on the phone talking my sister in to the cottages, so thank you so much. I will certainly keep your details for future celebrations.

Dear Paul,
Now that we are all back at work our stay at Lapwing Barns seems a distant happy memory. We had a wonderful time and thank you so much. The house and barn were very comfortable and you seemed to have thought of everything for our comfort and enjoyment. The large drying room came in particularly handy with all the wet weather we had over New Year.

A bunch of friends travelled to the Peak District, all with dogs, for a mini break. The accommodation was great, exactly like the photographs (or I would say even better). Absolutely everything you would need for a large party of people, including a huge dining table. Beautifully equipped kitchen, with marble worktops and plenty of room for everybody. Some of us visited the pub owned by the same people, and I can honestly say the food was excellent and the service was great. The scenery was to die for and everybody and the dogs came back after long walkies, tired, but happy. A lovely find.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Lapwing Barns this last weekend: the houses are very comfortable and well equipped, and beautifully situated, and your staff helpful.

We had an amazing weekend, every one of the guys loved the accommodation and I am already looking to book a return visit with the partners invited this time!
I look forward to returning to Lapwing again soon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We thought the house was excellently equipped, particularly that marvellous kitchen; and it was nice to find tea, coffee and essentials on our arrival. The situation is really ideal with stunning views over the valley, within easy reach of all the sites we wanted to visit and convenient for shopping in Buxton. I would recommend it to any of my friends and you are welcome to use these comments as you wish. We are interested in coming back next year.

We had a joint 30th birthday at Lapwing and all agreed that the house and grounds were lovely and beyond our expectations. Great views and very peaceful. Well, the cows were noisy but we quite liked them.
Myself and my now fiancee Jenny got engaged during our stay and the whole weekend couldn't have been more perfect. Luxury for the older ones, farm animals and trampolines for the younger. Absolutely great!

We all throroughly enjoyed the stay - a 40th to remember for me! The accomodation is absolutely fantastic, and the views are beautiful. Appreciate you organising the weather in the way you did too......I'm sure we'll use one of your properties again in the future. Lunch at the pub was also good news on Sunday.

We enjoyed our stay. Thank-you for the bottle of wine on arrival -
nice touch. Highlights for us were spacious rooms, lovely kitchen (made
cooking and dining a pleasure), great views over fields from front, use
of wi-fi ,peace and quiet. Loved the ice-box on fridge!

We paid for the whole Cottages both Lapwing and the 2 smaller ones for a Hen party in May 2011, and loved the location. Fantastic views of the countryside, and some curious cows, despite the rainy drizzly weather which sadly meant we couldnt have a BBQ or sit outside on the benches.
The main cottage lapwing is done up to a fantastic standard, very modern and spacious kitchen which managed to host a huge buffet and 18 people easily, loved the ice dispenser in the massive fridge, and the modern hobs. Garden and outside areas and trampolines would be great for kids.
So big we didnt even use the lounges just sat in the kitchen the whole weekend! Bedrooms done to a great standard, main bedroom with en suite fantastic and bed was so comfy! Even complimentary bottle of wine in each cottage.

During November my husband and I with six friends stayed at Lapwing House. November might not be a favourite time for some people to be away but the weather was pleasant. If it’s too cold then curl up in front of the fire with a good book. We had a wonderful time. Lapwing is beautifully furnished to a very high standard 10/10. The kitchen was extremely well equipped included American style fridge and a dishwasher; I was even able to bake bread in the luxury double oven. If the weather is not on your side – don’t worry there is even a utility with washing machine for muddy clothes. We organised a Tesco delivery to Lapwing which took the pressure off our journey. Lapwing is surrounded by beautiful scenery in a rural location; however just up drive you are back on a well serviced road, being just a few miles from Buxton, and a stone’s throw from the picturesque village of Longnor. Don’t feel like cooking? We recommend The Royal Oak Pub nr Hurdlow – delicious food with a tempting menu, huge portions and a good selection of Beer, larger and wine.
In summary Lapwing House is an extremely spacious house, furnished to a high standard. We would highly recommend it to all types of parties. For us it was a chance to relax in beautiful surroundings, in luxury with good food, comfortable beds, cosy living spaces, in a quiet location surrounded by plenty of walking opportunities, but with also close access to many delights of the south west part of the peak district. Just as a special note – for those of you who enjoy the comforts of technology you will find Wi-Fi, Sky TV , DVDs, CD & Radio. Thank you Lapwing for a lovely break you made us feel right at home, everyone who we spoke to and met in regards to our booking where friendly and efficient with excellent knowledge of the surrounding area and the accommodation they offer – we will be sure to return
